It’s impossible for me to showcase them all so I’ll just say, I am so inspired by every single woman I am blessed to know and share this life’s journey with. Thank you to all the women who have motivated me to work hard to be my best. While life throws us many difficult curve balls, strong women who are supportive, leave room for mistakes, who forgive, who work to be better, who are open to growth and change make my world a better place. πŸ’• Together we can keep putting in the effort to be our best selves and let our lights shine brightly for all the world to see. πŸ’«πŸŒŸβοΈ #whoruntheworldgirls #ridebikesbehappy #howweliv

#TeachableTuesday β€” Steady pedal strokes and perseverance pays off β€” The first try I pedaled into it without pause, kind of bashed into it and spun out on the sandy, slippery rock. - The second try I got past the first slippery rock but my eyes didn’t. πŸ™„πŸ‘€ Looking down didn’t get me very far. - Third try’s a charm. At a slow jogging pace I pedaled at it then paused my pedal stroke with level pedals for a sec while I did a big wheel lift up the first rock/momentum blocker, then carefully pedaled with even pedal strokes to keep moving forward and to prevent spinning out or slipping. I had to constantly micro-adjust my body position up the rest of the off-camber slippery rocks to maintain even traction between my two @vittoriatires. At the top looking ahead was clutch. - My @rockshox reverb seat dropper was halfway down. πŸ‘Š #mtbskills #ridebikesbehappy #howweliv #livbeyond 🌈

#TeachableTuesday β€” Chin over stem is a great place to be β€” This is an example of staying with the front end of my bike down a bumpy rock slab without getting caught in the backseat. You can really see how I keep my chin over my stem for crucial moves like steering my wheel for a tight-ish turn and then absorbing bumps down a rock. Notice how flexible my position is and how I allow the bike to move up into me and then I guide it where I want it to go. I also had to turn at the bottom of the rock so I couldn’t be too far away from my front end or I might not have made the turn. Also, I didn’t want to go any faster so I lightly applied brakes between bumps to maintain my speed but I let go of at least the front brake anytime I made a forward move. And finally, my @rockshox Reverb seat dropper is down and my eyes are looking AHEAD! πŸ‘€ - - - β€” If I would have pushed my butt back, I wouldn’t have had control over the front end. Sure my butt goes back a bit when I brace myself from my feet/legs with my heels down and it ends up back when I push the bike forward. But I never just shove my butt back and hold on. I’m constantly micro-adjusting my body position up and down, forward and back to stay in control of the bike. πŸ’ͺ I’m the captain of this bike! πŸ‘©β€βœˆοΈ I need to control where the front wheel goes and then I need to be there to help it through. β€οΈπŸ§‘πŸ’šπŸ’™ #mtbskills #ridebikesbehappy #howweliv ~ ~ ~ πŸ“Ή @katiesoxphotography / @sox.katie

#motivationmonday β€” β€œShow them what crazy can do!” πŸ₯΄πŸ€ͺπŸ™ƒπŸ˜‘ β€” The new @nike campaign is pretty spot on. The word β€œcrazy” has been associated with me for as long as I can remember. People didn’t necessarily mean it in a bad way but I’ve heard things like I have β€œcrazy ideas”, I do β€œcrazy sports”, and that I’m just plain β€œcrazy” when I was on Reality TV (and maybe some other times too πŸ˜‘). β€” It’s not a word I liked being associate with, but I’ve learned to embrace that maybe I do have crazy in me. β€” Crazy drive to be better everyday. Crazy love of challenges and joyfully suffering up climbs. Crazy emotions that make me feel everything deeply. Crazy generosity that allows me to help others in need. Crazy energy that helps me keep going all summer even when my body is shutting down. And a CRAZY desire to help other women embrace their crazy and channel that energy into something that makes them stronger, more confident and live their best lives. πŸ’₯πŸ’« I’ll show you what crazy can do...
