Wheels for Ladies
From 8 to 10 December get ready to experience 3 days full of activities with and without bike, as well as relaxing moments and great amusement immersed in the nature and panoramas of Finale Ligure, undisputed mecca of Italian enduro.
The second edition of Wheels for Ladies will be held from 8 to 10 December in the wonderful setting of Finale Ligure, in Liguria. The event, organised by Gravity Italian Ladies, has been totally reorganised this year, as it has been thought for women bikers looking for a space where they can get to know each other, share experiences, improve and especially have fun freely.
The programme, “tailored to women,” includes: a cycling saddle experience for ladies approaching this sport for the first time, cycled excursions for all levels, a shuttle-day so as to have a try at adrenaline-charged downhill paths along Finale’s famous trails, aperitifs and appetizers, a gala dinner open to all with a “ION CREW” parade, live music, a prize draw and especially moments of amusement.
Among the Testimonials accompanying the ladies in the discovery of Finale’s trails, there will be also Elena Martinello, co-founder of the Ride Like a Girl Project and Italian ambassador of the Strongher community, a worldwide movement that supports women’s cycling.
On 9 December, Elena will be present for the “STRONGHER RIDE” event, a cycled tour along Finale’s trails “from the Mountains to the Sea.”
A shuttle bus will take the ladies up to Colle Melogno (1027 m a.s.l.), a mountain pass of Liguria’s Alps connecting the city of Finale Ligure, in the West side of the Riviera, to the town of Calizzano in val Bormida.
On their bikes, the ladies will follow Elena in the discovery of Finale’s most panoramic trails: starting from the mountains, weaving through terraced vineyards and olive trees, passing through historic villages to finally wind down to the sea.
The “STRONGHER RIDE” will end at the Wheels for Ladies area, near the famous and picturesque historic village of Finalborgo. Here, at the end of the day, celebrations will begin with tasting offered by local agricultural firms, as well as music, a show presented by Bike Trail and a meeting specially devoted to the theme “Women and Sport.”
This experience organised “by ladies for ladies” is a unique opportunity for women bikers to get to know each other, share their common passion, improve their driving skills and live 3 days biking at their personal speed.
